July 18, 2008 Midnight Motorsports finishes 1st and 3rd
On Friday July 18, in Owensboro, Kentucky, Jared Nelson collected his first victory behind the wheel of the new 2007 Chevy Silverado Midnight Revenger, winning on the Lucas Oil Pro Pulling League Champions Tour. Jared took the lead with a pull just over 318 feet from the middle of the class. He then had to sit nervously as the Owensboro dirt began to come around it seemed with every truck. Several trucks made great attempts at taking the lead, but in the end, the Revenger had laid down the pass to beat. After a very frustrating start to the season that found Jared with a new learning curve about the new truck and Miner Brothers Racing Engine, Jared hopes he has turned a corner.
Jeremy Nelson did his best to lock up a Midnight Motorsports 1-2 finish, coming a little more then a foot short. The Midnight Gambler finished a solid 3rd place, which was the third 3rd place finish of the 2008 season for the Gambler.
Midnight Motorsports will be active again this weekend competing on Thursday July 24 in Goshen, Indiana, Friday July 25 in Evansville, Indiana, and Saturday July 26 in Waterloo, Illinois. Midnight Motorsports is nearing the end of their current sweep that has them competing 12 out of 18 days.
